Scott Barnum is Managing Director and Head of Marketing and Client Engagement at Amherst Capital Management. In the role, Scott coordinates asset gathering, marketing, and client service. With the firm since inception, Scott was instrumental in launching the business and led the effort to staff and operationalize the overall platform. Scott is a member of the Executive Committee and the Commercial Real Estate Credit Committee.
Prior to this, Scott was a Managing Director in the Business Strategy and Development group at BNY Mellon Investment Management where he was focused on growth strategies, including the launch of Amherst Capital. In this role, Scott worked closely with Amherst Holdings to develop the business plan and successfully establish Amherst Capital in 2014. Scott has over 23 years of experience in financial services, strategy and consulting roles and previously held positions at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Oliver Wyman.
Scott holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
