David Skoien is a Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for both the Single-Family Residential (SFR) business and the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending business at Amherst. For the SFR business, Dave oversees the underwriting of new residential investments and daily leasing and capital expenditure activities.  Dave also oversees the management of the CRE loan portfolio and on-going reporting of portfolio performance.

Prior to joining Amherst, Dave was an SVP, Portfolio Manager and oversaw the CRE, Multifamily, Construction, and Lender Finance Real Estate portfolios at CapitalSource, a division of Pacific Western Bank. In addition to overseeing the portfolio, Dave maintained compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures and strategized and implemented the resolution of non-performing loans and REO assets through various disposition and recovery strategies.   

Dave graduated from Duke University and has over 15 years of CRE lending experience.
