Elise Balliro is the Chief People Officer for Amherst. In this role, Elise leads Amherst’s Human Capital function and oversees people strategy, with a focus on recruiting, retention, learning and development, culture, compensation, benefits, and overall employee experience. 

Prior to Amherst, Elise was Vice President of Talent Development at Crow Holdings where she led the organization’s talent function, spanning Investment Management and Development businesses. Before Crow Holdings, Elise was a management consultant at Bain & Company, where she advised businesses on strategy and performance improvement across industries and led client training programs and also worked on the Undergraduate Admissions Committee at Harvard University.

Elise holds a BA and Master’s in Education from Harvard University as well as an MBA from Duke University.
