Chris Avallone is Chief Financial Officer of Amherst, overseeing equity capital formation, debt capital markets, corporate finance and accounting. In addition to his current role as CFO, Chris continues to serve in his prior position as Head of Merchant Banking, where he was responsible for equity venture formation, financing strategies, and portfolio management for nearly seven years.

Since joining Amherst in 2018, Chris has leveraged more than 12 years of capital markets experience to help scale the firm’s single-family rental platform and investment management business into one of the largest in the sector. Prior to Amherst, Chris was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs.

Chris holds a degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and is a CFA Charterholder.
